The Role
As a Chondrocyte Production Specialist, you will be responsible for the full production workflow of cartilage cell therapies. You’ll handle autologous batches linked to surgical cases and contribute to developing scalable allogeneic methods. You’ll work in a GMP environment, collaborating closely with clinical teams, quality control, and manufacturing leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Execute the isolation, expansion, and formulation of chondrocyte-based products
Support autologous case-specific manufacturing linked to surgeries
Document every step using GMP-compliant batch records
Collaborate with QA/QC to ensure timely release and deviation handling
Contribute to the development and validation of allogeneic production workflows
Maintain cleanroom procedures, aseptic technique, and sterile material flow
Participate in internal training and ongoing process optimization
What We’re Looking For
Degree in biotechnology, cell biology, biomedicine, or related field
Hands-on experience with primary cell culture or GMP manufacturing preferred
Knowledge of tissue processing, aseptic workflows, and cleanroom practices
Detail-oriented with strong documentation and quality mindset
Able to adapt between custom surgical batches and standardized production
Committed to patient impact, precision, and continuous improvement
